BRINDISI MARINA
 |
The new Marina, modern, safe and wekk-equipped. is located in a particularly attractive loop of the large port of Brindisi, well protected by Forte a Mare peninsula, a majestic 15th Century monumental complex. Around the square, the true heart of the port, the are shops, a bar and restaurant, the sailing-marina club and other business. Nearby are the large, brand new sheds for undercover refitting and shipyard with centre for technical assistance. Marina di Brindisi has an interesting geographical location , offering no untoward hazards for sailin in a stretch of sea that is one of the most beatiful and teeming with fish of the mediterranean. One of the most important international offshore fishing competitions has been held in these waters for many years and the diving shop in the tourist port now organises wonderful underwater itineraries. Marina di Brindisi is also the natural base for new cruises following routes to the most famous destinations in Croatia and Greece and voyages of discovery along the coasts of Montenegro and Albania. Home waters offer the Italian alternatives along coast ( S. Foca , Otranto , Santa Maria di Leucam Gallipoli and the Ionic coast of Puglia), easier routes but by no means less attractive. Ashore there is just as much to do and see, with itineraries to suit everyone short, medium and long distance, enjoying the pleasures of surrounding that offer beatiful scenery, architectonic sights and delicious food and wine.
The history of the city has always been linked with very different population, cultures and traditions and modern day Brindisi is like a melting pot with thousand nuances and interwiven cultures, colours and history.
